Give me a fucking break, are you honestly going to tell me you think HSBC got off with a measly fine (that probably didn't even cut into the profits of their crimes) because there wasn't enough evidence that they, along with other huge banks, are guilty of borderline treason acts?
Here's the thing about white collar crime. It's Often done digitally (hence it's also called cyber crime) hence all evidence is digital hence it can be erased easily if the perp knows what they are doing. In addition to that it's also a relatively new type of crime and police arnt quite sure how to investigate it yet. And to make things worse the criminal can be in a different state or even country from the victim making investigations tricky at best and impossible at worst.
