We-e-ll I could explain because there was a specific impetus for it, but to a large degree (I suspect)
poems say different things to different readers (or they may say nothing at all.)

Ok, what I attempted to illustrate is impending loss, less strident than apocalypse
but perhaps more devastating on an emotional level. Something set into motion
by either God or man, depending on your point of view. The loss of hope, the overturn
of the promise of redemption. You may think I have failed utterly. Quite willing to accept that.
