Comment on Disney Villains: Captain Hook by Grincha
Well,Hook needed to be less frightenous when he was adapted in Disney movie, 'cause he's one of the earlier villains of the company and so children hadn't to be afraid of him .
But , when you're a true fan of the character, you can give him arguments which make him a real good villain :
. First, he's one of the few villains to really kill people in the movie which he appears, even his crew (for instance the singing pirate or Starkey ) and Smee suggests that he killed others before ..
. Second, despite his funny side, he's more intelligent than you seem to think . I mean, he knew how manipulate Tinker Bell, and he tries to kill Peter anyway.
. Third, he's a villain who the hero can have an hand-to-hand fight with . He's not afraid to acting when it's necessary, and he's quiet dangerous as a swordfighter . I mean, one the other hand, Hades, the God of Deaht is just defeated with ONE punCh !
. Some say that he's a coward, but he's only afraid by the croc . Okay, this fear is really exagerated in the movie, but that'sit.Remember he had the guts to fight the "spirit" in Skull Rock.
. He's ruthless and has not regrets to kill children .
. Others well-knowed villains like Ursula, Jafar, or Maleficient have magical powers , and still they're beaten, sometimes ridiculously (* pshiiit Ursula !*) . Hook can only count on his physical capacities . Okay , he's got a crew, but they're stupid .
. He doesn't die . Not many great Disney Villains escape the death , except Shere Kan, Cruella or Hades .
. May-be without him , Jafar and Facilier wouldn't be here (anyone noticed the physical similarities ?)
