I think this is the same structure that people call the "Birdstone" - near Narin?
If so then your painting catches the impression of a bird gliding that I have always found fascinating about the stone. My own take on it is a bit different [link] - not really in the same class.

Yip thats the one, i try to get down to it at least once a year, its a beautiful spot and an amazing structure, i think this and the beltany stone circle are two of my favorite places in the world and thats saying quite a bit as i've done a lot of traveling all over the shop, there's just a good feeling from both places, i love your version and i'll get a look at your daughters work when i get a minute as i've got a big pile of comments to reply to. If your down in Donegal over the summer months stop in the Green Door Studio in Port Na Blagh, Dunfanaghy, this is were myself and my partner live and work over the summer months [link]
