well it looks really nice with the eye in that proportion. it could always be a style. and the leg issue just look up anatomy or just look at many pictures of ponies you might understand  and ya the rib cage just lightly suggest the form of it or just draw a circle in that sice meybe i could make a tutorial? anyway all the animals have a rib cage it helps to draw mostly anything. and also try to have the legs flatter on the ground i think that might helps it looks like they are existing in a weird perspective. but the head suggest something else. the left front leg is not working anatomically you will understand if you just look a few seconds of horse anatomy that's what i did a few seconds to see how the legs may bend. and the back legs are tricky ones in my opinion but just look around and see how others do it. it took me a while to understand how it works in different angles.
