I have seen this image used all over the net. Often as someones avatar or as their image rather than their own personal picture. I am glad to finally see who the artist is! Wonderful work.

It is used a lot! I have seen it as myspace images (rather than using a personal picture/photo for your main image) and on keen.com and many psychic places.
