I was referring to the fact that when you approach the maximum apeture, your shutter speed has to be reduced to compensate for the smaller amounts of light reaching the film or sensor. Because of the uncontrolled environment, if I had lowered my shutter speed any more, I would have had irrevocable blurring.

I guess I didn't make it very clear as to what I was saying.
