the piece of land here was used smartly it added value, i really like how you used it goes well with the character pose and modeling the other characters too in order somewhat
the three character design are great plus their attitude fantastic !
the lil animal looks simple yet the best
the hero cape and sword are done awesomely but overall him and the lady could use more details and shading
the background is great specially the moon you don't want too much that over cover the character so maybe the flat grass behind the lady is not needed or the flag

I actually would not want to put more detail into any of the characters. Only the background. The characters are supposed to be simple.
Especially the man. Since this is a comic series, I need characters I can reproduce quickly. Often in the stories I use other people's characters or special characters I made, and those can be very detailed, so I need to make sure that I always have characters that are simple and easy to draw.
As for their shading, this is the most we're going to get, because I don't understand shading and don't like coloring, actually
so I really don't want to even learn, to be honest. To me, only the shape of an object matters. Not what color it is.
I wish I just had a colorist to color for me.
The background is very important in this picture. In fact, the background is more important than the characters. This was originally done as a gift picture of my characters for a person who likes my backgrounds more than they like my characters, so the background had to compete with the characters for attention. Usually, when that is the case, the artist makes a big, scenic landscape with a tiny character. I did not want to do that again. I wanted a picture where the characters were prominent, but the background was important too. And maybe usually with that the artist would then use a lot of background, but this was made to be a sticker that had to fit on a piece of tape, so I did not have a lot of room to work with. I had to make a very small picture, so I did not have room for space on it. Unless you're viewing this on a phone, this picture is far larger on your screen than it is in real life.
Also, I actually sometimes deliberately create distracting backgrounds where I want the background to draw the attention away from the people on it. This wasn't one of those times though :/ . But I wanted the background to be very attention getting. And the flag is part of the character, so it connects the characters to the background.
I had to get details, character and background together in a small space.
Lastly, I had forgotten to give this a description, so you would not have known why I made this how I did without being told!
