Actually, interesting that you put no cleavage in - I just wrote and posted a short rant about the proliferation of breasts on deviantART, and perhaps that is why I was attracted to this painting: I saw the character as a non-sexualised, living breathing human being, rather than just a character the artist drew "with big tits". Mauve is the sort of character I could invest my full interest in!

Mauve is not above flirting if she thinks it'll help her to achieve her objectives—or to tease some shy character—, yet it's not the single distinctive trait of her personality, she's not the femme fatale. She's unfettered, one with a strong objective in mind which is good in essence (restoring balance to the magic in her world), but made her an antagonist and a possible villain. She'd mow down everyone who stands in her path, and she can't forgive people who turned on mages after magic was compromised. Deep down she's aware that can't doubt herself for a second, she's sure she's condemned to lose her mind to the same magic she's trying to fix, but she believes that if she pours all of her soul in this objective it'll remain strong in her even after she's broken and the person she is is gone, that even if she gets dragged to a hellish dimension (where arcane magic originates) she'll find a way back and continue her work.
So, yeah, being a pretty thing to be gawped at is way too low for her ambitions.
