hahhaha who knows Bofur's accent..! But yes, I love the Scottish touch! I read that apparently Mr Tolkien himself said
he considered the dwarves accent a bit like the Jewish one, as in that of a people that is spread all over the (middle)earth
but still retains a unique way of speaking (and being the linguist he was I believe that meant a lot to him in terms of
identity!).
I love Scotland! I lived there for one year and my heart was stolen(ever since then I'm bound to love
each and every thing that is connected to it)! It really is a beautiful country and it's true it has been ill-treated in the last
centuries...
