*snickers* I actually didn't know any of that. XDDD I just wanted to put that claw on his normal ref in, but thought 'well, there's no cat with blue claws anywhere, and this thing's huge... Maybe it was a kid's toy! Or a weird piece of art!' XD If someone in the RP points that out... *dies of laughter*
Heh, yeah. That would be pretty hilarious. Maybe you can just say it's a joke to emphasize how ruthless Ace can be, or to reveal that he does spare Twist from these murderous habits. Or both. Or the mirror shard idea. Maybe he could also pick that up along the way and you can have all three.
But yes. I mostly only know this because of my favorite video games made in Japan that I looked into. Okami, the Ace Attorney series, and Kid Icarus plus its sequel all feature references to the Three Sacred Treasures. In fact, in Kid Icarus, they're outright mentioned by name. I take mythology, yes, but it's only been Egyptian, Greek, and Roman so far. Next I think I'd like to study Norse as there are a fair number of references Pokemon take from it.
Let me know if you want some extra depths to your art as a bonus for people well versed in mythology, because I can very much help with that.

Some horror, some hopeful, some outright documentaries, stuff like that. We'll need help with mythology if this gets off the ground. ^^
