question for you dear.
How do you get it to be a .gif with a clear back?

I'm trying to make an icon and the picture's themselves have clear backs but when I turn it into a .gif it disappears.

Hi there!

I first use photoshop for all my pixel needs. When I create a new project, I select new, and make sure I select the transparent background option.

After I'm done with my pixels, and I want to animate my art, I use Image Ready to create make it move, or change it's color.

When I go straight to image ready, it saves all my pixel work, and transfers it immediately to Image Ready, with the transparent background. I then save as optimized, and it save it as a .gif.

Hope that helps.

where can I get image ready?
I have photoshop already.

I use a combo of both sai and photoshop so I can make the background transparent but i've never heard of image ready.

It should already come with photoshop. I did with 7.0. What version do you have? You might have a program that came with your version that is similar to Photoshop that you can use for making moving gifs.

I have an older version o,o I'm not sure how to check.

I just found in the help section export transparent image and it say's I can save it as a .gif is that what you mean?

I'm not sure? I only use gif for moving images, and that's only through a certain type of program.
My version, which is 7.0 is an older version. Not sure if anyone is able to really use any versions older than that on these computers.

If you can let me know what version you use, I can probably find out what program came with it.

Mine is much later than yours, so I bet there is a version that's available for you.
Let me check it out.
