um, i personally get my wire from all over the place.
joann's, michael's, various online places.

i don't really have a preference, as i have about a bazillion different kinds and styles of wire.
the ones in the picture are all 20g artistic wire, so they're coated copper, and pretty soft.

if you'd like, i can ask the rest of the club members and get back to you.
