Yeah, Microsoft REALLY squandered the gold mine they had with Rare.

They're more likely to just close it down. That tends to be what happens to developers that get bought by big companies: all the staff that made them great leave, the quality of their products drops and then the studio is remaned and absorbed into the mass of the parent company or closed down entirely.
