actually, what did you use? I mean, is it some sort of semi-firm elastic or firm plastic or....?

well, he has an aluminum armature running right through his middle, then the bulk of his bodily bits are fairly roughly-massed out in plasticene, the whole thing then skinned over with a two-part air-drying epoxy putty sorta stuff. milliput, it's called.
