Makes me wonder if there IS any part to get involved in the middle east if it only invites fanatic psychopaths.

religion as a whole seems poisonous to me, it might be a small bunch but it's very loud, a mayor scale to redneck western christians being bigots, attacking the middle east and middle eastern people as a whole seems kind of a brutal solution, when it all traces back to just the enforcement of a religious culture that's severely outdated, unfortunately this also means you'd have to forbid something people would consider an essential part of their culture, but if that's not done it's either a full scale war or ending up with europe assimilating sharia's law and social rights basically regressing back more than half a millenia.

Your argument reinforces my belief that people immigrated to the America's to escape from historical conflicts between religious, ethnic and/or linguistic groups because there are no(excluding USA) pre established cultures to cause conflict with.

I also agree since it is NEVER good when religion comes into politics, because it causes conflict as in the case of Sunni vs Shi'a divide in the middle east.

I don't think that's the case with the USA, both the first colonies and immigrants from later centuries seemed to arrive purely based on the popularity of the american dream, being able to achieve fortune through effort or luck. It just so happened that this caused the huge cultural mixture that the USA is today.

I find the leftist hip teen open doors policy stupid as well, even when I'm an immigrant myself, because it's sold as a cute and colorful "There is room for everybody, regardless of race, gender and sexual preference" agenda, but it'd imply that if immigrants bring with the possibility of democratic vote they'd eventually want a mixture of islam and politics, which is called Sharia, and this particularly affect the gender and sexual preference, meaning this hip teen leftism is building it's own destruction.

This wouldn't exclusively apply to islam though, something I always say is that an example of what happens if you allow a mafia family to survive for centuries and centuries, there is a pretty big example, called Vatican.

Well I don't know about you but it celebrating your cultural heritage occurs much more often up here in Canada than it does in the USA i find.

Yeah I can agree because the left wingers are naive in that they ignore the simple truth in some issues. It's people like that which make me wish we have a modern day equivalent to Otto Von Bismark.

My family never really cares about it, except maybe in Chile's independence day, but around the date my father usually just makes some typical food, nothing fancy, I don't think it'd be uncommon for immigrants in Spain to celebrate their culture's holidays though, here it's quite common that each town has a different holiday, which adds to Spain's fame in Europe of being one of the laziest countries in the EU, an statement I agree with.

I guess it's just people following whatever seems to be a good willed thing without really reading much into it, like scrolling down the terms acceptance when installing software.

Really? To me I always considered that role going toward Greece in how they can't get their act together financially. Although I can see your argument holding ground in Spain's two centuries worth of instability.

Yeah the downside of democracy is how leaders are slaves to whatever their bases want and the realities of the nation.

That's what I meant with one of the laziest, not THE laziest.

Unfortunately the best path won't always be the one that sounds the prettiest, everyone wants a nice solution to the world's problems, but popular public wants political action to be nice and the goverment needs approval from the public to proceed on huge, public movements that would make things easier.
A crude reality is that the European Union should deal with Europe's troubles, specially considering the terrorist attacks and racial conflict with refugees, whether or not is montage to move towards a third world conflict, nobody wants war, but nobody wants to tell outsiders they're not allowed either.
