I'm Danish, but never heard about this one before so I got curious and looked it up in some of my mythology books and then the internet. As you already know, there are different ways of spelling it and Hræsvelgr seems to be the most common, also used in Danish sources and also yes, Ræsvelg in Danish. But it's old language and doesn't make immediate sense. I'm guessing that Svelg is an old form of svælge/svælg which means "to swallow" or "throat", this especially makes sense with the corpse eater. I've seen nothing about white beak. The sources also say a gigantic eagle, maybe the same which sits in the top of Yggdrasil. Just a comment on the meaning.

It's an amazing piece, really well done and just illustrates the topic at hand so well.
