Augh, thanks so much! I'm always admiring artists who know how to properly shade with different colours [as opposed to using darker and lighter values of the same shade as the skin]. It's so hard for me, I don't know why. Your mentioning the rule that a highlight will be on the opposite side of the wheel as the shadow kind of triggered a lightbulb in my brain, and now I so want to go play around with that. Augh. Yeah I'd call this very helpful. :D

SUPER helpful! Thanks so much for the tips, especially those concerning what colors you pick. So many people just say in their tutorials, "Then I put shadows here" without actually explaining what they picked and why.
