Even if the picture was hard to work on, the outcome is just fascinating! Perhaps you have had something more magnificent in your mind, but the picture is lovely as it is with these medieval-style trees and stars. I love the way the moonlight permeates the whole scene, the bluish colour scheme fits here just perfectly! As for the character, I really like his face, such a nice portrayal!
Thank you so much dear! Well in the end I was pretty pleased with it, though while I was working I had two pretty serious disasters which I managed to avert in the end! 
Problem is I usually envisage something more magnificent/epic/dramatic/scary...but my style is simplistic and sparse and pictures other than portraits rarely come out the way I want them. All the reason more your words make me happy! Thank you!
