It's absolutely beautiful. I wish it weren't quite so jagged, maybe next time you can render with a higher filter radius. I like the colors and the sweeping motion a lot!

When I get little jaggies like that, I go up to .5 or .6....if I want a really, really smooth look like on "Water Dragon", I go as high as .75. 
It's really personal preference. Most of my stuff is at .4, too.

I've never noticed a significant difference between .4 and .75, but I've never gone higher and I don't know for sure.

Great smoothness and repetitive design.
What I do suggest, is to add just a slight bit of blur to fatten it up a little, then render with a higher FR, as DragonWinter said, and a little higher quality setting.

Okay, never mind then. I would actually lower that number to around 4500 (no sense in wasting time and CPU), then going into Photoshop or TheGimp and trying to reduce the levels, just to avoid the grain.
