LOL they are!!! I've never had one, but I've heard different reports on their deliciousness... mostly that they're... well... bitter. : O Did you like them?

They are what one would call an... "acquired taste." They are quite bitter and therefore considered distasteful at first, but they're really versatile when cooked. Health freaks like them, "American pallates" don't, but of course that's a generalization; some of my Okinawan friends love them, some hate them as much as my American friends. I like them, but they're really bitter. Really bitter. And rather gross. Haha I'm a health freak. Er rambling aside, they're easier to eat than natto :D
