Comment on David Bowie: 1947 - 2016 by DistortedSmile

In the early 70s Bowie was mincing about on stage wearing makeup, knee-high boots and a kimono that barely covered his ass. No one had ever seen anything like it and much was made of it both in the press and the general public, but the music backed it up. He was too good to be dismissed as just glam and spectacle. I hate that I never saw him live.
