Yeah
tbh that guy was a bit of a butt
I tried reasoning with him but they just sent me an essay of a reply saying "Ooh Anne Frank was a fraud! The Holocaust never existed! Auschwitz had a pool and a bar and all those Jews were just there on vacation they actually just got tanned in the spa! No one got incinerated and killed!"
Seriously what is his problem???

Ughh... there's just something so poisonous about an atrocity denial.
Firstly it accuses that group of people of creating a tremendous false accusation
Secondly, it tries removing sympathy from that group (so they can be freely hated)
Thirdly it tries to deny the evils racism/ideology is capable of.
Me, I think these people aren't just 'logically wrong', but 'morally wrong'. Wilfully twisting the truth to justify descending into the nastier, more primitive parts of their own brain - and then spreading more hate.
Although there's also the issue of upbringing by racist family, and their associates...

Yeah. You gotta remember that these people really are good at heart, and they believe that their intentions are good. Everyone has a different view of the world, and of "truth"
It's amazing what lengths people will go to just to prove a point about what they believe is right. Trust me, I know...

about that... I'm somehow convinced that people who are wilfully self deceiving, have bad intentions, b/c they know their actions will make things worse, but they're acting out of self interest.
"Everyone has a different view of the world, and of "truth" " - this is true, but kind of different somehow from what I said before.

Yeah, I've found out recently that some people just enjoy being mean or doing bad things. But it's only because they're hurting inside and they only want others to feel their pain.
People just want to do what's only best for them sometimes, and I'll accept that. But you can rise above that and look around at what others feel.
I'm not saying you only do what's in your best interest, I was just saying you as in people you, not specifically you.
