It's hard for Yoda's species to be mistaken for Leprechauns from every species in the Galaxy. Then again, they are the most mysterious and no one knows where their homeworld is.

It is a possibility the homeworld of Yoda's species could be in Wild Space or the Unknown Regions.
Supposedly his species is a "Whill". I think I read that somewhere. It may not be cannon though.

Unfortunately I haven't seen it yet. I don't have access to tv, only internet. I have to wait and watch at a relatives house, so maybe a few weeks.
