About as fast as the space shuttle, I think they are going to visit the moon.
It's actually the escape velocity from earth - traveling that fast means you'll be leaving earth behind and, yeah, heading for the moon or Mars or wherever.
True with it being that small mars is definitely a possibility. Cool, Mars poines!
