I thought so.
I much prefer the "Shaider" armor for Ryan rather than the "Metalder" armor myself.
And Big Bad Beetleborgs was okay, but I like that Metallix had a giant robot in both Roboborg and his rival/ally Boron.

The thing was the original idea was to have a single hero adaptation of Metalder... with Jason David Frank as Adam Steele/Cybortron (this was between the fade of the Green Ranger powers and the surge of the White Ranger). Hell, there's a pilot about it around, and the transformation sequence is actually more complete than Ryan's, using all the complete footage of the transformation.
The reason it didn't got made, believe it or not, was copyright: Cybortron... doesn't seem a lot like Cybertron? As in, the planet from Transformers? Yup, Hasbro sued Saban about the use of Cybortron as the name of the series and the character (before you ask Cybertron was indeed a character... a transformer planet whose original name is Primus and is the nemesis of Unicron), so they scrapped it. Also, JDF actually became very popular as the 6th ranger, so they had him return for the appearance of the White Ranger.

Anyway, it would be cool to have a Cinematic Universe. After all, Saban still has ownership of all those properties, right?

Yes I like season 2 of VR Troopers better with the Shaider footage and suit, for one thing unlike the Metalder suit Ryan actually has weapons, the sword and gun.
Just too bad VR Troopers never had a season finally and never defatted Grimlord..
I like the Metallix's suit designs better .
Not sure I liked Masked Rider too much.. For one thing the editing between the footage is terrible in some parts. and it's too comical for me..

I agree with ya on that bit of Ryan's new armor having weapons like his fellow troopers.

Yes I noticed in the US footage the Shaidar suit has no gun and holster. I guess Saban couldnt get the prop or didn't have time or money to make their own prop of it.
And I think the Metallix's guns were easier to change setting with the cards instead of typing in a code

There was one episode were the Shaider suit had a gun in US footage, though it was just the Spielban gun prop that had been modified.
