Oh, maybe! This one in particular was done in pencil. As for the crispness, I found that it helps if you scan your picture really big and then size it down for web viewing Instead of just scanning it the size you want to view it. And then I always make sure to use the Sharpen filter in Photoshop! If Sharpen makes it TOO sharp, I'll duplicate the layer, Sharpen the top one, and then reduce the opacity a bit. Maybe there's an easier way to do that but whatever. I hope that helps c:
