Pity, if you stopped halfway then you missed perhaps the greatest line ever uttered by an Imperial.

Oh? What was it? now you have my curiosity peaked.

"You may win the occasional battle against us, Vorrik, but the Empire will always strike back."

Grand Admiral Pellaeon says it toward the end of Force Heretic 1: Remnant, proving once and for all that the Empire pwns.

Just out of curiosity, at which book did you stop reading?

That is a kick ass line!

i stopped reading after Edge of Victory ll. couldn't get into the rest after that.

You should really give the series another chance, it's better than it's made out to be. Traitor even has Jacen-torture! Sometimes, I read through that part when I'm in a particularly Jacen-loathing mood. Which is to say, most of the time. ;)

that sounds rather soothing. i loved the young jedi knight series and am also pissed about the whole Jaina/Zekk thing. and the jacen trying to kill Allana and Tenel Ka? yea not cool.

Traitor was my first EU book I read, and it was a fantastic book. It really goes into the meat of the subject Jacen's value's and principles, and is a fantastic book. Matthew Stover is an amazing author and when he writes a Star Wars book we get to go deep into the character's heads. I don't know if you ever read Shatterpoint, but that was also by him and get's really into the backstory of Mace Windu and examples the Shatterpoint force power really well.

Shatterpoint is great stuff I agree. Most of the Pre Clone War EU is great but when it comes to the the twins and New Jedi Order I feel like the authors have totally disregarded the 'Jedi Academy' novels. You have all this build up of friendships and character story and it just gets thrown away because they want to do "serious" writing/novels.

Not cool, but with some cool twists.
