I used some dollar store sketch book for a couple of my recent sketches, and was careful not to overdo the ink, etc. i just wondered, because it gives me an idea of the scale in which your hands must be working, etc. I remember being surprised when I saw the size or Robert DeJesus' caricatures the first time - I had always thought they were bigger, but he does a lot in a smaller space. Your work the way you do, is very beautiful

Yeah I use to draw on anything.... I know one of my older posts was on a paper plate .... I just zoomed in on the good part :)
Lately though I have been getting bizarrely tight with my ink drawings .... and the things I use to look for with paper ... like tooth or ability to absorb liquids   haven't mattered.  I am on my 5th one of these: www.amazon.com/Strathmore-Visu… the paper is like a heavy smooth card stock ... I really love it .... it can handle wet media well too, in  a way .... it doesn't warp and holds pretty well, but you can't draw on it while it is damp the surface falls apart.

... and thanks :)
