Thank you, that's very specific advice. I haven't quite mastered laying down the different colors, which is why at the moment I stick rather with the flat colors. But it's definitely something I want to experiment more with.

I love it. You did a great job... if you're looking for color issues, the dirt on the floor is a tad to brassy, and her skin is to dark. The skin color you used has an olive undertone, and Leia is more pinkish.

i think if you boost the vibrancy of the purple sash it would be an nice contrast from the green bg. nice work :D :D

Sure why not. I've had a few people point some out to me... but it's always good to have some outside advice.

I think the main problem you have with colors here is that they look rather flat. One way of making them pop is to use complementary colors to shade. So, use dark greens in your purples (transparent, that is) and purples in your yellows. Another thing is to use a light source that you will keep uniform along the whole drawing. So it your light source is orange (for example) everything should have orange-ish highlights, with the complementary color (blue) in the shadows. That would bring more cohesion to the pic.

I made a couple of instructives for some friends (it easier to show that to put it in words):
[link] you will find that using complementary colors makes the circle pop more than using black or dark red.
