Thanks! All it is, is a layer set to multiply. All the colour is flat, the pencils give it shading :)

yea I've used the multifly effect myself^^ allthough I hadn't though of using the effect on the layers though :plotting:

I like it because it keeps all the colours on one layer that you can set to normal again and get out the actual specific colours if you need to. Sometimes I'll also do a layer on top of the whole thing and use some light black and white brush work to clean up an area, like I did with the eyes here (and some other lines were cleaned up).
