Strange that this hasn't seemed to get any attention from Daz3d - because this seems... well silly. It didn't used to do this.

I had that problem a while back.  Try this:

1.  Load the scene.
2.  Save it as a subset.
3.  Close the scene.
4.  Load the subset from the subset directory.  Don't merge it into the scene.  It's just open like a regular scene would.
5.  Save that loaded subset as a regular scene.  See if that works.

That all works for me.  I also save characters and sets as a subset, and when I merge them into a scene it works fine.  I worked all of this out during my last 5 part massive, more than 1100 scene ...thing.  So you're talking to a guy who has really worked a lot of scenes lately.  Try it.

Thanks for the suggestion - did that from a post I read on Daz3d - but sorry to say it isn't working. It appears to be something else causing this issue as it has only happened since 4.9 for me.

What were you using before?  Also, are smart content products loading slowly, or just scenes that you have made?  Also, how big are the scenes?

Hi,

It isn't the scene that is loading slowly - it is the scene deleting. If I load a scene it is pretty okay about a 1minute for complicated scene.

But when I load another scene it hangs on the "Clearing scene" line for a very long time, then loads. The more objects in the scene the longer it takes of course, but never used to take 5 minutes to clear the scenes before upgrading to 4.9

So I have gone to closing and opening Daz instead of loading directly, or using NEW, because it is heaps faster.

That's pretty weird.  How big are these scenes you're deleting?

not really large - we are talking about 2 Genesis 2 characters since I have removed everything else. It appears to be the deleting of the Genesis 2 characters.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the genesis 2's?  I mean, using DIM?
