Only a pleasure, my dear. You set the bar high with your postwork in particular. I would love to approach this sort of standard myself. I keep looking at work like yours and trying to figure out how you did things, or how I might achieve similar effects. :D

I feel like I glomp you a lot. *wink*  Anyway, it's really fairly simple and I'm always willing to share any of my knowledge, one only has to ask. :) I think what I do is actually rather simple to achieve.  Besides working on my levels and even coloring, I use a few layers to achieve what I'm doing.  I use an "Overlay" layer, "Screen" layer and sometimes a "Multiply" Layer.  My overlay layers I use to brighten up and add color to certain areas to give it more oomph. Screen layers I use quiet a bit to give more highlights to certain areas like adding to the lips, eyes and even hair....multiply I use at times to deepen makeup or even paint the makeup on.  Oh and I make plenty use of mask layers to help blend in to any background that I paint and soften areas up.  Not that your art needs all that. lol

Thank you for the pointers. I emailed them to myself having realised I would lose this comment as soon as I reply to it. ;) I only started using Photoshop a few weeks ago and have not done anything very impressive with it yet. I will keep learning its capabilities, though, and this ought to be a good start!!

Oh lordie.  Which version do you have?  Couldn't live without photoshop.  I've watched thousands of tutorials over the years to try and keep up with the latest techniques...but if there is something particular you're wanting to achieve hit me up and If it's within my skill set, I can help you out and be a bit more detailed. :)  A lot of what I said has a lot of gray areas in between that I would need to be more specific with...so again, the offer is always there. :)

I have [work has] the Adobe Creative Cloud thingy so it auto-updates to the latest version. I definitely need to watch some more tutorials. It has so many options that I probably do not even know exist. Thanks for the offer of help! If there is anything specific I cannot figure out or find on the net, I will definitely ask. :D :D :D

Ah, very cool.  I have it as well.  I've tried to go back to my previously purchased version before they started doing the "Cloud" subscription base but couldn't hack it because they've added so many amazing features for not only my art but my photography as well.  It's a lot at first but once you get the hang of things you will ask yourself how you ever lived without it! lol   I've been using it for about 14 + years (gosh that's making me feel old) ha   Anyway, just have fun!  Door is always open. :)  Oh and if you're interested there is a great channel on Youtube that has top quality tutorials, it uses photographs as examples but believe me it completely relates to a lot of things you would want to do.  I've learned more from them than anyone else when it comes to enhancements.  Here is the link if you're interested...definitely worth it.   www.youtube.com/user/PhlearnLL…     Also if you ever want or are ready I can link to you in PM some of my fav photoshop tutorials. :)

After 14 years, I bet the Apple-centric design does not even bother you. ;)

Thank you so much for the link to that channel. I will watch some videos when time allows (and I am in a position to try out some of the techniques on a render). I would love it if you shared some of your favourite tutorials with me by PM!

I guess when it's what you learn first (PS) then everything else seems odd.  They have an alternative Affinity Photo that's actually pretty danged close and it's cheap $50 one time price.  You should check it out as it's design is very nice.  I own it but I haven't had a lot of time to mess with it.  I'm sure they have a free trial to see what you think.  affinity.serif.com/en-us/photo…   As for my extra links I'll have to go through them to see which ones will benefit you most. :)   I'll keep this message so I don't forget. lol
