I read this story for ages on LJ, and I'd finished it for a month (nearly died after that cliffhanger) when it started blocking me reading it. That was a sad day. Says you need to be 'logged in to view this protected entry.' Huh. Guess I should get off my lazy butt and just get an account there, eh? My dad always said we weren't allowed to complain about something we could fix -- said fixes usually invovled Tylenol and/or Ibuprofen. Did I spell that right?
Sorry!! I'm totally rambling and I need to stop that, but if anyone appreciates a good yarn... And there's only like 2 other comments on this page so who cares? Ha-ha! *inhales* Bye.

Comments mean a lot to me. I'm sorry I'm late in responding to this. Despite school, family, friends and ceaseless emotional drama that the Internet has put be through...I do still think of my stories. My sense of commitment is that strong. It isn't easy though to find the inspiration or time as I used to. Yet I'm beyond flattered that people would leave comments such as yours. That's fandom, baby, that's where it should be. Thank you.

Late? You're not late; you commented back at all; that's more than I expected. Man, that's great you have such faith in your stories. In mine, I always get to a certain point and can't go any further. Ah, well. That's my stumbling block - I have to buy the dynimite to destroy it. I do have one or two I've finished, but I couldn't upload 'em if I value my account here (unfortunately). I hope FF would be better about that, but, as it happens, I'm being watched. Every word I type is being logged into some secret program on this computer and that means none of my passwords, none of my stories, none of my friends, are safe (it's spyware installed by the owner of this computer to keep me under wraps, but they never bother to check it.) Real Life blows a very loud horn, but if I can wrest myself away from it for long enough to get an LJ, I will look you up, and probably friend you. Your stuff is always worth reading! Wow, another nice comment. You know, with the amount of things that go on in the Internet, I can not be too upset at that person. I think about if I was a parent how I would feel, how difficult it would be to protect your kid or come to terms with how quickly things change.
I vent my spleen in my stories but in real life, I'm not so dangerous to know I suppose (if I'm not threatened). I don't tell people to trust me. Distrust is natural, I understand that greatly. I hope to earn trust instead. I have slowly opened up to my parents for example. I think about what we do and why we do it, I can explain my proclivities in logical ways. I encourage others to do the same. It's good for oneself to analyze such things too, it keeps you grounded and from getting dangerously out of touch with reality. People have suggested that was possible with me, I'd freely expressed my true reasons and found them unwilling to have an intelligent conversation. As the objection came from other authors, I am suspicious to the motive though somewhat sympathetic. It's not nice, but much of the human race isn't. We all need moments like this one here to keep us from real madness.
My advice to you would be to get a flash drive and try to type in the library, at school or even on computers that you can rent. Save the documents to the flash drive (I'd recommend TWO if you're worried about one being found or stolen). LOCK YOUR FILES under a passcode, so even if it found, they can't be accessed. Uploading your stories to FFN (or Adultfanfiction.net - but be careful with that one in public) will preserve the stories beyond the thumb drive. I believe you can even upload word documents to places like Megaupload, mediafire and such. Data is data. Then they are also safely preserved without even need of thumbdrives or flashdrives since that is a free service.
My best of luck to you in finding a way to express yourself. I have piles of notebooks that keep me encouraged, comments like yours are sunshine and there is the bits of fandom and thought which I find here, there and everywhere like golden tickets. Lately, I've been driving myself crazy trying to find the right mood for a second chapter to a short story that wants to get out of me. I've written a lot and tweaked a lot but it needs to mesh. It would be embarassing and ego-tistical to admit how much time and thought can go into this but I'll tell you. Because I think you probably understand.

You're certainly right, a hell of a lot of things go on on the Internet, and I think it's all that they want to protect me from, not myself. Well, maybe myself a little, too. 
I think my powers of sorting through the utter crap to find stuff like yours and Lyricality's (author of Abracadabra) are pretty well developed at this point. I trust myself in that respect.
God, it's so ironic, reading your second bit today, of all days. I hit a rough patch in one of my classes, with people who just can't understand me, and I always have to wonder when that happens, what if it's not just them? Am I at fault for not being able to understand these idiots? I know I'll have to later in life, jobs and workforce and such, but hopefully they'll have gotten the picture by then. Then afterward, someone who's opinion I highly value reminded me that I function at a higher level than those idiots, especially for my age, and although my communication skills aren't exemplary, I do come into the ring with a distinctly disadvantageous advantage. (I love big words, and I hope I'm spelling 'em all right!) Unfortunately, I can't live forever surrounded by people exactly like me, or I really will go insane (Which was their main complaint of me). Fortunately, today is Friday, so I get the weekend off now!
Drat it! I wish I'd remembered about those flash drives sooner! (I deleted some of my own work when I first got word of the tracking program) Thank you for reminding me, I think that should help, at least until I can get such 'objectionable materials' somewhere safer.
I can definitly empathize with spending hair-pulling amounts of time on a story to get it right, but I always give up. You don't seem to do that too much, and I commend you for that. It takes a strong and inventivly flexible mind to keep coming back to failed material over and over, but it's always worth it. Especially from you. You really are a great writer and a nice person, (from what I can tell) and I hope to earn your trust one day to the degree that you have mine. (That is, I trust you not to come and serial-kill me, although it is highly unlikely anyone would.)
Jokes aside, I really am humbled and flattered that someone like you would spend the amount of time and words that you've spent talking to me, because I probably wouldn't have bothered with someone I'd never heard of before. Maybe I should go trawl through my comments. I might find another gem like this!
