Yeah; I mean, I love Matt and Luke too (Matt's probably my second favourite MCU character) and Kilgrave is a love-to-hate character, but the girls in the Netflix stuff are the best part. Its unintentionally a weakpoint for Iron Fist in that Colleen is just so much more interesting than Danny (which is a shame since he is interesting in the comics, but they've left out a lot of his better aspects). Really, seeing the Daughters of the Dragon team-up is the main thing I'm looking forward to in Defenders (well, besides the Power-Fist bromance and Elektra's resurrection)
Yeah, at the very least it establishes some background stuff regarding them, which is quite a nice thing to have. It makes me wonder though how much of the Hell's Kitchen-side of things are we having continuity deriving from, show or comic; like, I love how the show has taken things, but I also really love how things were during the Marvel Now phase where Matt was happier and his identity was an open secret, and Kirsten McDuffie was such a great love interest (ironically, not unlike the Flash situation of deciding between the show or the Mark Waid-era of stories about the character)
