Myah X3
Yeah That's what I'm doing X'3 ...
Ugh. I'm in the state where I draw Realistic (ish most of the time?) and neat,
but I get stuck in that I love chibi and messy. So I'm kinda torn, because my anatomy is realist, while most details are anime-/cartoon-ish.
Got any medicine for that? X'3

well, depends on what's your goal?
what/how do you want to draw?
btw, it's possible to draw realistic chibis
I'd say just keep practicing and you'll find what suits you the best

Well, I'm very torn, I absolutely adore styles like these
twitter.com/radywolf
bluebiscuits.deviantart.com/ga…/
kenket.deviantart.com/gallery/…

But, I've tried some and I can't really draw it, I get impatient and forget to do it right.
(also an overall is that I want to be using very thin lines, but somehow end up using way too thick lines as linerart.)

agh sorry I'm rambling..
Anyway point is, Idk if i should go for a bit more messy style and do a 100% more on my colouring ability,
or a 100% my line work and go for a style like yours, (freaking epic<3),
Oooorr Everything at once? Though my motivation and schoolwork might not hold for that..
Sorry to burden you so much... ><

" I get impatient and forget to do it right."
yup, there's the problem. You just can't let that happen.
If you want to have results you have to work for them.
(for the lineart thing, just don't go above 5-6px brush size)

And it's okay, don't worry, I'm trying to help
To be honest, I don't think you should seperate those two options, you should try to do your best on everything
don't focus on your style much, just have fun with what you do.
I know, schoolwork can be a bitch... sometimes it's hard, but try to find that healthy balance between schoolwork and drawing.
you also need to find out what motivates you, look for inspiration either here on DA, or on ArtStation, or whatever really.

Yeah thank you so much.
I'm the quality over quantity type so I should be able to turn it around pretty quickly.
(Thanks again, mmh any tip for canvas size? because that's another struggle)

aah I really can't thank you enough!
I'll do what I can~
(AND YESSS SCHOOL'S A BI*CH A LOT OF THE TIME, AND IT'S NOT HELPING THAT I CHOSE ONE OF THE DIFFICULT LINES IN SWEDEN. (It's university preparing so I can become anything I want afterwards.))
And yeah, I roleplay a lot and read some "amature" (I'd say they're not) novels,
watch and look at different styles and analyze them (mostly on here),
and watch anime ofc =3= <3 but eh that just helps with making stories.

But again, I can't thank you enough >w< <3

exactly! quality over quantity all the way!
I usually work on a 4000x5000px canvas or so, depends what I'm doing. This way the lines are nice and clean.

Yup, I had the same thing in my highschool don't worry.
Gotta survive it somehow. If you want to get into a decent universtiy then I'd say take care of your grades too, you will still have plenty of time to draw, dun worry.
And that's really good, I'd say keep it up!

no probs!
