Well, if you're happy with it, then it's done I guess
I've been trying to get the screen glare looking good in Photoshop, but unless I can nail the look we should go without it for now - it can always be added later.
Also, for some reason the moods list isn't showing up in that journal though - it's there when I preview, but I think there's some bug that's stopping it from being saved (perhaps because it's an old journal). Anyhow, I'll send you a note with the HTML/CSS used in the demo journal and you can try it on for size, let me know what you think and then I can make adjustments if needed
Somebody still needs a bit more training.. no hard feelings.. look at my early stuff.. I see striking similarities there hehe.. (not in style, but quality) Keep drawing and try new things .. thats the trick that did it for most of us. There are only very few "naturals" who produced masterpieces from day one.
Absolutely! There's no hard feelings regarding constructive criticism. I recall when I spoke to ^thespook about this I said something along the lines of, "Ok dude, I need to open PabloDraw and figure this out. I haven't done this in years". I think that when I produced most of my ANSI art is was like... 1996. And that was for a BBS game I was developing in QBasic that I never finished.
I really hope I get up enough nerve at some point to try to create something really worth viewing and can be enjoyed by traditional ANSI/ASCII artists.
That being said, I have the utmost respect for artists like yourself that can create stunning artwork with this medium. I really enjoy the uniqueness of it and its culture. It's amazing that entire communities have been formed because of ANSI/ASCII. It is my hope that artists that practice this skill don't look down at me as, "That damn GD that only knows about typography".
