It WAS! especially the bodice, it was the first time I had attempted that type of bodice and it was hard. But, I adore looking at her in my sewing room and all the rest of them sold so it was all worth it. I'm planning on making several more Claudia inspired costumes in this scale, next would likely be the Theatre des Vampires dress because I have all the fabrics for it. Thankfully, I will not have to start from scratch designing the patterns this time as many of them I designed for this creation will be re-used esp. the undergarments. It cost me $65 PER costume to make these! So imagine what it would cost you to make it for yourself! You'd really have to use synthetic taffeta here. I used up so much silk taffeta making just the pleats. I hate pleats! LOL.
