I haven't read the Legacy comic yet, but I should, the art looks excellent. And I'm sure they haven't mentioned the Solos yet because they haven't really resolved the Solo family troubles in LotF, and they'd want to retain the freedom to keep options open.

And seeing how it does look like Jacen is not long for that world, hehehehe. I don't see him having anymore kids, especially if his organs continued to be sliced up. And do Hapes (Hapians?) even have last names. Would Tenel Ka want anyone to know her daughter is Jacen's daughter.

And in the "Sword of the Jedi" prophecy Luke spouted I think he said something about Jaina always being alone, so things don't look good for her to pass the Solo name through any children, unless she has one out of wed-lock or marries a guy without a last name ;p .

But yeah, how they've treated Jaina is the biggest crime. Set her up as "The Sword of the Jedi" and then do absolutely nothing with her :omfg: . Unfortunately, it seems this batch of authors are sleeping snuggly in the "Star Wars is a boys-only playground" camp. Which is a shame since Allston and Denning have written some of my favorite books in NJO.

I doubt Jaina will be alone, since she's actually developing feelings again. I really think they should have let her and Fel hook up the first time around...WHY they suddenly cut that off is beyond me. I think it just destroyed an excellent character relationship and the amazing growth they had gone through. I wish Stackpole was still in on those projects; the man is a master of characters and giving them life. Hell, if it wasn't for him, there wouldn't be nearly as much of Anakin Solo having as much of an impact in the current series as he is.

I imagine Tenel Ka will face off against Jacen...and that's going to really either make Jacen, or break him. Something will have to click in his mind that what he's doing has absolutely nothing to do with his love for his child. The girl has become a possession. And that makes me feel bad for the kid. For a guy who can flow walk into the past, you would think he would actually spend some time doing real research, taking his own bias into account. Oh wait...that's the historian in me talking. Duh...*smacks self*

BTW, you can get a whole book of the Legacy comics that has just about all of them in it currently from the bookstores so you can be caught up in one fell swoop. The art is superb, even if the storyline still makes me roll my eyes.

Actually, Jaina being saddled with the boy toys is what I like least about her (laughingly refered to as) storyline. Because it is her main storyline. And when she's not dealing with them she's on the sidelines doing things that really aren't the main focus of the plot.

I think my main problem with LotF series is that Jacen is the main character of the series. And he's the bad guy. It has nothing to do with him being badly written (though at times arguments could be made to that effect ;) ), but in most stories you would really want a good guy or a few goodguys to be the main focus. I mean when we first saw Episodes IV - VI Vader was a great villain, but he never got nearly as much screen time as Luke, Leia, and Han did. The point of view of that story was told mostly from the good guys POV and made Vader a more menacing presence. In LofT we hardly ever leave Jacen's perspective. If we constantly know what's in his head and what he's up to there is very little mystery there.

I was at Barnes & Noble last weekend. They had nearly all the collected graphic novels for Clones Wars, the first couple volumes of Knights of the Old Republic, some Star Wars Tales, I didn't notice if they had Legacy (they probably did). But I only had enough money to get one.

;P I ended up getting Empowered volume 2 by Adam Warren :D .

But if the two potential commission jobs I'm waiting for come through soon I should have enough money to go back in get at least one of them . . . . . unless of course they have Empowered volume 1  .

I don't mind too much that they focus on Jacen, cause this way we get a very indepth view of what makes a good Jedi turn to the Dark Side. Granted the reasons are different from Jedi to Jedi, but honestly I didn't see, nor think it should have happened to Jacen. I know he's one to over think things, but come on...

Jaina, go slap some sense into your brother already! ;p

That'd be a funny image. Just Jaina slapping Jacen upside the head. "KNOCK IT OFF!"
