Actually, Jaina being saddled with the boy toys is what I like least about her (laughingly refered to as) storyline. Because it is her main storyline. And when she's not dealing with them she's on the sidelines doing things that really aren't the main focus of the plot.
I think my main problem with LotF series is that Jacen is the main character of the series. And he's the bad guy. It has nothing to do with him being badly written (though at times arguments could be made to that effect
), but in most stories you would really want a good guy or a few goodguys to be the main focus. I mean when we first saw Episodes IV - VI Vader was a great villain, but he never got nearly as much screen time as Luke, Leia, and Han did. The point of view of that story was told mostly from the good guys POV and made Vader a more menacing presence. In LofT we hardly ever leave Jacen's perspective. If we constantly know what's in his head and what he's up to there is very little mystery there.
I was at Barnes & Noble last weekend. They had nearly all the collected graphic novels for Clones Wars, the first couple volumes of Knights of the Old Republic, some Star Wars Tales, I didn't notice if they had Legacy (they probably did). But I only had enough money to get one.
I ended up getting Empowered volume 2 by Adam Warren
.
But if the two potential commission jobs I'm waiting for come through soon I should have enough money to go back in get at least one of them . . . . . unless of course they have Empowered volume 1
.
