I really like it, it has some kind of odd surrelistic feel to it.
The composition works fine, and the long shutter time adds to the mood.

But what is it, and what are they doing?

Love the light - seems a pic about the things we get up to in the madness of a harvest moon. I think the man in the white tee shirt 'grounds' everything, and I love those weird and sculptured giant tyres. What you say is so right too....

That is so awesome. I love the whole composition with the stillness of the tires and the movement and energy of the people. The sheer size differences also never cease to amaze my eyes. The background with the shops and lampost also feed the eye and make it a much better composition. Keep at the brilliant work!!!

I agree that it is 'street'. The lines blur (no pun there) as regards to just what 'street' is... in my small town..is it still street?

I love this strange scene.

This is great! Of course it's street. It's always your call -- let the viewer figure it out. Really like this very much.

(nodding)... it felt surrealistic to be there too...

i took my boys (twins, 3 years old) to a local harvest/halloween celebration... well, it wasn't actually a celebration... it was more of a business masquerading as a carnival... they sold pumpkins (used to decorate for halloween)... and had ';pumpkin guns'... and a maze carved into a corn field... and so on... [link]

anyway, near the entrance they built a pyramid from the oversized tires used on combines (large tractors, essentially) and other farm machines... it was a bit strange, i suppose... but the kids loved it...

oh... one thing more... a random thing... but i logged into your last fm site a few days back and listened to a bunch of music you'd flagged.. fun stuff...
