Interesting. You should say were you got your stock. Otherwise this isn't legal. Just to let you know.
Thanks for the tip... I'm still rather new to all of this, and certainly don't mean to offend anyone.

Unfortunately, I don't know who the girl is (found her on a site just labeled "female images 037". If anyone actually knows her, I'd be happy to credit her.

The foreground architecture was shot in Germany while there many years ago.

Background landscape was the result of an image search for "castles" awhile back, though I think I can still trace that one and find out who did it originally.
Hi there ^^

Here's the thing :

You have several categories on Deviantart, and one of them is called "Stock Images".
These images are made specifically for people who want to use it in a personal work.
So some people are creating "stock accounts" from which you can use the pictures in a photomanipulation or whatever you want to do. Still, you have to credit them obviously.

Simply go in Categories > Resourses > Stock Images > and the category you want to browse.

:)

Thanks... I really do appreciate the input. :-)
I've been spending a lot of time starting to browse through some of the various stock image collections. Trouble is, I don't know how far you're supposed to take this idea of "crediting"... Many of the images I've used over the years are of people/places/items I've photographed on varoius travels, though I certainly don't have any idea who most persons are anymore, or who designed that bit of architecture they are standing in front of, or who designed the sword they were holding, or the clothes they were wearing, etc... For instance, you can find hundreds of images folks have posted (myself included) from Renaissance Faires every year, and some of them make excellent references, or even resources: a crown here, a cloak there, maybe even a face...almost like creating a picture using clippings from a magazine. Is that considered "inappropriate" use of unauthorized images? Perhaps it is and I'm just being too naive, but I can't seem to make sense based on so much that I find on this site. I certainly don't want to do anything illegal or even unethical where copyrites are concerned, but I also don't want to be limited to using the same picture of the same model holding the same sword over and over. Help?
this is really nice
Beautiful piece. I am a fan of all things elven, but that alone would not have made me :+fav: it. So, well done!

Stellar. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with healthy elf-girl obsession.
