I'm glad I could offer a helping hand. Still catching up at times to some of the replies on the thread, hehe. It's great to see things through others eyes, how they see them.
Aww, I know the feeling. Often there's very few who can appreciate a work like the artist themself can. Sometimes you spend very little time on something so many others can appreciate, then something you spend sooo much time and effort on, improving your work in so many ways, and few to none notice or appreciate it that way. I'm sure it is your best deviation for several reasons, but there's those two standards of measure, yours and others.. part of the reason why I made the threat I did about posting your recent best work in your own opinion and why, so others may appreciate some of your work the same as you do.
Anyway.. I really like this. Something about taking something you saw from a dream and making it into a great picture is exciting to me. It has a dream-like quality to it.. no particular subject or background. Just a very interesting visual over a small part of a landscape, just like a dream. Great picture.
I really appreciate your comment. It's nice to "hear" (read actually ) that someone knows how it feels. Other deviations I posted where photos that I didn't thought would mean much, but for my surprise they got much more attention.
Yet, after spending a whole week trying to make this drawing came into life, to try and try to make it just the way I dreamed it, and not getting any views was kind of depressing.
I'm actually really happy that you made that threat! It was a great way to express what you said, to make others see your work through your eyes.

Now it's time for September 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
Visit their pages, support them by faving, commenting, and when you see a deviation that you like also view their gallery entirely, like that you can decide if you will devwatch them or not. Viewing only a deviation (what is great) is not enough
And if you want to see your favorite visual artists or art selected to be in this feature for the next month, send me via note the links/thumbs!
`arcipello's artwork is instantly recognisable. His vibrant colours and sci-fi scenes are breathtaking at times, pulling you into a world where man and machine live in colourful harmony.
An inspiration to many, Daniel's dedication to his craft is evident throughout his gallery, with many of his beautiful prints hanging on walls across the globe. In recognition as being one of the most successful artists in our deviantART community, we're delighted to award this month's Deviousness Award to `arcipelloRead More
