....And this is the other one I had as a background. This one makes me feel fuzzy every time. I love how relaxed everyone is. Sonic especially -- his walk, the way he's holding the axe, even his spikes. Knuckles' eyes are the another big thing for me, they've got the annoyed hot-head look but in a totally playful way. There's so much more, but I'll stop before I spend too much time drooling at it.

Considering all official Sonic art is woefully generic these days (Sonic Chronicles is a slight improvement...), I can't stress how glad I am to see a piece like this. It reminds me of when Scott Shaw used to draw Sonic, way back in the beginning of the comics. His art didn't look very similar to this, but it gave off the same vibes that Sonic could lay back and have a chili dog once in awhile.

Scott Shaw! drew Sonic?! That I did not know Not as shocking as when I saw Bill Wray's name in a Super Mario Bros. comic anthology, but still
