Well, thanks for the compliment. I think my trick to HDR so far is just using as little as the effect as possible. That, and it doesn't take much "effect" on a night photo to just make the shadows have some definition without the lights blowing out. That's not much more than the effect of compositing exposures.

i dont think this is a "boring" shot... infact, its simplicity is what makes it. It's almost quite eerie with the store being open but not a single person in sight... and the lighting and shadows lend perfectly to this.
