I'm a little iffy on Killzone, the first one didn't rank so well, MGS4 however is a game I am really looking forward to, I love those games

I'd say it's 50/50 if they've learnt from peoples crit of the first game.. Apparently the PSP spinoff was really good, but it wasnt an FPS so that doesn't mean much. Fingers crossed anyway. Wouldn't want another impressive looking game turning out to be a bit rubbish (umm, Lair, AC, Heavenly Sword, depending who you ask..)

Lair I heard had a lot of hype but was an evil piece of shit. So far the only game I own for the PS3 is Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, great game. but I am using my PS3 for my PS2 games mostly (I have the 20 GB). I personally hate the 40 and 80 GB ones, they fucked with PS2 playability on those, hence making Sony have to use PS2 consoles alone for money and not PS3 consoles for backwards compadability.
If you like FPS (well, it plays like a FPS despite being 3rd person) Warhawk is incredible. I love R&C:ToD too, excellent game!
Yeah HS does look good tbh, not as bad as people make out.. I think it's partly because so many Sony fanboys (and the press) were heralding Lair and HS as the PS3 killer apps before they'd even played them, so everyones expectations were huge and the scores suffered. :/
I have the 60GB Euro version, which is sort of between the 20gb and 40 in the sense it does have Backward Compatibillity, but it's mostly (entirely?) software based so doesn't work at all on a lot of stuff. Other games run oddly - Soul Calibur 3 runs in slow motion. So I'm keeping the PS2 around anyway (as soon as I got the PS3 and my PS2 stopped being so important I modded it for imports!)

I never liked the Euro PS3's, Sony Europe I felt did a port job with PS2 playability on those
