Great B & W shot! Lovely light, I like the perspective too. Has a real sense of depth with the foreground, midground and background leading you through the photo.

glad to see you active on dA again. I really enjoy this photo. When I first looked at it, I suddenly felt a tinge of nostalgia. This photo is so approachable for so many people probably because so many of us have memories of a small lake with an ol' unstable pier reaching out from the shore. It feels good to just sit here and look. Great work.
