My chill time is drawing portraits. I dont know why really, I'm just a lot better at them. I love focussing on the face, hair and eyes, it's what personality in a character means to me.
I took a look at the original nelan pic I started, and OMG, I cant believe I drew that such a short time ago! Compared to my more recent pics, it looks like crap! I cant believe how much I've learned in such a short time!

It's always good to learn new things. I've been doing that for as long as I remember now. I figure that if I don't learn anything from a new work, something is amiss. Then again, this work's colour scheme and overall style is similar to my 'Space Battle - 01' work. I found I was comfortable with it, so I've kept close to the blueprints of that. lol, that work has a lot to answer for though. A lot of my works after it have been based off techniques I used in it.
Hmm, I've found that works well. Building a foundation on your own work does help. I've found that the things I did in the nelan pic have helped me to do things better in other pics, even rough sketches. I have such grand schemes, I hope they all come into fruition
