Yeah I tried today your idea about riveting through the cup holder bottom, it worked beautifully, hope to have pics of the finished products up soon(ish).

Good news,man,glad to hear that.Much luck with marketing,too.I noticed,in the picture,that your fire's quite large(looks very clean,too),so you should be able to make all the forge-welds often required by the larger scope of work,such as many floor-standing candleholders.Much luck with that.
yeah, I just cranked it to max for the pic for the flames to look cool no use using it that big otherwise. I did forge weld one laminate pack for a knife, and.. umm it was enough forge welding for me for some time
Hey-don't let yourself be intimidated by welding.I guarantee that a point will come when you'll say-"Wow-it's so easy!",you really need it for certain projects.Most welds also are different from pattern-welding,easier,more localized.
