In the end there were 4 layers. First i did a thumb one one layer than a full size ruff. Then next was the cleanup in blue and then the last layer was the tone. The tone isn't completely opaque so there was no need to multiply layers.
I like the blue. Did you multiply the layer and go over the characters, or color over and lower the opacity? I didn't notice how anatomically correct her hand was there, holding the gun. It looks fantastic.
