Oh no! Jubblies! Run!

*cough*

I can be mature, really I can! Anywho, I was reading Stephen King's On Writing earlier and he was talking about Bag of Bones for a while relating a little about how he never plots things out ahead of time, though it may seem like it (except for books like Insomnia that aren't so good). I really need to read more of his works. Starting with that book of short stories that 1408 is in. And then... I dunno. So many choices... *salivates*

Oh yes, drawing. I like the contrast in the face. And though the pose is slightly boring it is made interesting by being to one side and given more contrast. ...Yeah. Nice job!

Bag of Bones will be the first book I read by Stephen King. I started another book, but had to take it back to the library before I could finish it. His writing style in this book has really captured me, so I am definitely going to try a few more.

Yeah, the pose is kind of boring. Poses are something I need to work on. However, it kind of works for this character. She always seems to just helpless stand and watch, but of course I could have made her throwing rocks. My main issue with the pose is that it seems off balance. It wouldn't be so bad if I had the legs showing, which are in the original sketch, but I forgot what her shoes looked like so I stopped drawing them.

this is very nice work, seriously. I love the shades and how her dress seems very see through, not only on the top.
Great job, very well done!

Thank you! I am glad you like it. I have the dress the way it is to try to show how her body, mind and soul were really breaking down underneath either by the cult, silent hill or eventually Pyramid Head. She is a really sad character and one of my favorites, at least in the movie. Now I am blabbing.

I meant to comment on this picture as soon I saw the notice at my messages but somehow it slipped my mind, and that’s a horrible thing to say I know but my mind is a strange and incoherent place at times.

HOWEVAH I’m commenting now and I think this picture is stunning; there is a lonely and vintage feel to this that is absolutely wonderful.
Don’t take this the wrong way now, but it feels like this was a drawing made long ago that was found in an abandoned house yearning to tell the ppl who found it a story of some kind.

Also Bag of bones was great but Black house is my absolute favorite of Stephen king’s novels. That book actually made me cry which is rare in horror novels.

Good job Keep it up!!

Thank you so much! I don't mind if people comment late. I can't be picky about comments. :D I appreciate it!

Yeah, Bag of Bones was the first and only book that I have read so far by Stephen King, but I can tell by that book that he really is a talented writer. His writing style is very beautiful at times. I don't know why critics tear him apart so much. I guess the horror genre will never be accecpted as something smart. Anyway, I do plan to read more of his books, but right now I am reading a thriller by Dean Koontz that I can't put down.

Awww don’t say that bash late commenter’s with a memory with as many holes a swizz cheese XD.

Anyhow I started to read Stephen king when I was about 12yrs old and fell in love with is horror stories. At that time I read the translated versions of his books and was very young so I couldn’t really say if he was a bad or a good writer (other than I enjoyed the stories), but looking back I notice that his writing has improved greatly since then and today is an awesome story teller and writer. With this in mind I think the critics is stuck with the image of the very young Stephen King plus prejudice of horror to always bee gory nude flicks. Makes me so f-ing mad.

I’ve only read one of Dean Koontz books, the darkest evening of the year, and although trilling and very addictive I came out with a meh feeling afterwards, but that’s probably because an atheist isn’t the best reader… I will try another book in the future cuz I don’t believe in judging anyone on such loose grounds.
